A.R. Christian

Again the angel of death has visited this household and taken from their midst the husband and father.  This coming so shortly after the sad death of little Gracie is an unusual sad-bereavement to the sorrowing family.
His death was sudden and unexpected, he being sick only a short time, and was caused by a brain affection that baffled all medical skill.  The loss of his little daughter bore heavily on his mind and doubtless hastened his death.
Albion R. Christian was born in Missouri April 21st, 1858, and departed this life Tuesday night the 15th inst. Being in his 45th year.  He was married July 23rd, 1876 to Etta Shaw who survives him.  They have had born to them six children, three girls and three boys, two of them are deceased both girls.
The living children are Flora, aged 17, John, aged 16; Curtis, aged 12; and Rufus, aged 6.
Mr. Christian has been a resident of Kansas and Allen since 1892 and has been an honest, industrious citizen and in his death the bereaved family have lost a husband and father who was ever ready to make sacrifices that would tend toward the happiness and comfort of his devoted family.
The funeral services were held in the M.P. church yesterday at 10 a.m. conducted by Rev. O.L. Corbin who delivered an impressive sermon to a large congregation who afterwards followed the remains to their last resting place in the Allen cemetery.
The sorrowing family have the deepest sympathy of this community in their recent afflictions in which the Herald heartily joins
